Unit I helps children become good citizens by giving them
an understanding of personal and family characteristics and related
responsibilities. Unit II discusses a childs neighborhood and
how to be a good citizen in his/her neighborhood and school. Unit
III talks about the inner workings of an organization including meetings,
officers, and committees. Unit V discusses family trees, community
history, state history and ideas for other heritage related activities.
Unit VII talks about cultural exchange, international exchange, international
cultural expression, global condition, and global change. Descriptions
of units IV and VI were unavailable.

materials in Navajo and English. Navajo topics include Eat Right for
Life (a 10-video series), which is full of information about healthy

a six-video series that was filmed on the Navajo Nation and discusses
food and nutrition topics specific to the Navajo people. Materials are
also available on topics such as farm safety, health, and food safety.
